A phase of horse handling which is littie known to the general public has come to light in the announcement of the Fleisch-mann Company, yeast manufacturers, that a large number of trainers and breeders are using their product freely for their thoroughbreds. An official of the Fleischmann Company is authority for the statement that trainers have found yeast of inestimable value in conditioning horses, both young and old. and that it has been found particularly helpful for horses which are "off their feed" or suffering from skin diseases. A few of the trainers and breeders who are using yeast, either in fresh or dried form, in their stables are : Miss Elizabeth Dain-grfield. proprietress of Haylands Stud ; 11. Thompson, trainer for 10. It. Bradley ; Mose Goldblatt. 1. Coyne, J. O. and G. H. Keene. Jefferson LJvingston, W. . Knebelkatnp, Harry Shannon, George Barnes, trainer for . W.
