Twenty Years Ago Today Chief Turf Events of October 6, 1903 Racing at Morris Park, Worth, St. Louis and Detroit. Jockey L. Wilson again piloted three winners at Worth. Two of them, By Ways and Dclagoa, belonged to his employer, S. C. Hildreth. The start of the third race at Worth was marred by Lady Jocelyn and Sidney C. Love being practically left at the post. This raca was at one mile, for three-year-olds and over. When the barrier went up C. B. Campbell was off running, being soon joined by Stuyve, the two running as one horse until well straightened out for the finish, where the former faded away and Stuyve took command. Along here By Ways, which had always been running along in third position, moved up fast and, catching Stuyve when length out, easily passed him, winning by ond and a half lengths, the latter beating Lady Jocelyn a neck for second place. Lady Jocelyn fell to her knees at the start and did not get into her stride until a quarter of a mile had been run. The mishap appeared to unnerve her, .1 although she ran a good race and finished resolutely. Sidney C. Love broke flatfooted and was practically left at the post.
