Won easily; second and third driving. MISS MARCELLA gradually improved her position and, passing the leader after a mild drive ia the last eighth, won going away. BLUE STREAK began slowly, but had a clear course on the inside and clcsed a big gap into a fast-going second. PARVENU took the lead at once and, setting a fast pace, saved ground on the turns and had no mishaps, but tired finally. TARTARY showed early speed and was eased up when beaten. SATIRE closed an immense gap from a slow beginning. JASSAMINE raced well. KERRY GIRL quit after going a half mile. Scratched 74504 Hands Up, 115. PRINCE OF UMBRIA followed the-leader closely throughout and responded gamely when called on after entering the stretch, but was easily held safe. HIGH CHIEF, under superior riding, raced forwardly from the start and, coming resolutely through the stretch, outgamed CAVEAT EMPTOR in a close finish. CAVEAT EMPTOR moved up gamely on the outside after entering the stretch, but tired slightly in the closing strides. CARMEN PANTAGES finished well and, wearing CURTIS down, outfinished him in the closing strides. CURTIS displayed the most early speed, but tired badly in the last eighth. Won easily; second and third driving. BUN PAL followed the leaders close up under slight restraint until in the final eighth, where he raced into the lead and won going away. SHERIDAN dwelt at the start, but steadily improved his position after going three-eighths and finished with a rush. LADKIN was prominent all the way, but cculd not improve his position when called on. ANNA MARRONE II. raced TESTER into defeat and took a clear lead after entering the stretch, but tired in the last eighth. MR. MUTT finished with a belated rush through the final quarter. SWEET AND PRETTY lacked early speed, but closed up fast on the outside of the leaders in the stretch and finished gamely. BERSAGLIERK set a gocd pace and, saving ground on all the turns, made a game finish when challenged. FUSEE was hard ridden for the entire race. ORAN finished gamely. Scratched 74502sDivcrsity, 103.
