HEIR-AT-LAW raced into second place with a rush after going a quarter, but could not seriously menace the winner. SUPPLIANT worked his way up from a slow beginning and finished fast. WOOD LADY finished with a rush. SLIGO stumbled at the start. GONDOLIER ran well, but tired after passing POOR SPORT. The latter was hard ridden all the way and set a good pace to the stretch, but tired in the final drive. FITZRUE finished resolutely. THE FOREIGNER could not improve his pesition. VITAMIN and WAPITI showed scant speed. SMART? Klood flat-footed at the start and was left.
