Won easily; second and third driving. THE POET, racing in vastly improved form, displayed excellent speed and, setting a fast early pace, was taken back and saved until in the stretch, where he rapidly raced into the lead and won under a hard pull. ALL IN ALL was a forward contender all the way and, finishing fast, outstayed BABY LANE. The latter saved ground on the turns and was hard ridden all the way, but tired badly after taking the lead. SIR GALAHAD II. steadily improved his pesition and made a game finish. DIVERSITY began very slowly, but closed a big gap in the first quarter and finished fast through the last eighth. MAD PLAY, prominent from the start, slipped through on the inside when entering the stretch and took the lead, but tired in the final seventy yards and was hard ridden to retain his advantage. GYPSY KING gradually worked his way np on" the outside and, finishing with a rush, was wearing the winner down at the end. DAZZLE R raced gamely throughout and was going fast at the end. NELLIE GREY set a fast pace for a half mile and tired. EAGLET, off slowly, was gaining at the finish. BLISSFUL retired after going n half mile. WYNNEWOOD set a terrific pace and raced into a long early lead, but was unable to withstand the winners challenge. EPISODE saved ground throughout and finished resolutely.
