RUSHING IMPROVEMENTS Work on New Stalls and Judges Stand at Huntington Nearly Completed Many Arrivals. HUNTINGTON, W. Va., Oct. 10. Giant strides were noted in the improvements in course of construction at the Barboursville course of the Tri-State Jockey Club. S. N. Holman has taken active charge of supervision of the racing department. Work is being rushed on the new stalls and judges stand, and to add to the general activities horses are arriving daily from various sections. Racing secretary W. R. Norvall was among the arrivals today and immediately started work on the condition book for the first four days racing. The stables of J. M. Foley, S. Berry and Tom Johnson got in today from Lexington. Al Matthews came in from Omaha with four horses and Burley Parker reported from Washington, D. C, with four head. W. E. Hughes sent word from New York that he was sending four horses from Jamaica and Dr. S. D. See is en route from Bedford, Iowa, with twelve horses. William Dondas was a visitor today and returned tonight to his home in Covington. Arthur Elrcd came in from Latonia, where he has been doing missionary work for the Huntington track.
