GENERAL TURF NOTES It is !jaid that John E. Madden and Mont-fort Jones will go to England for the December sales. A veteran turfman passed away when heart disease claimed Thomas Brady at the Yountville, Napa county, California, on Sept. 5. He was close to eighty years old. At the state fair of Texas, to be held at Dallas, Tex., from Oct 13 to 20, six running races will be held daily.
