TIJUANAS NEW SECRETARY LATONIA, Ky., Oct. 10. M. N. Macfarlan, who has been engaged to serve as racing secreatry of the Tijuana meeting, was an arrival today from Toronto to. do some missionary work in behalf of the Mexicon border track. Mr. Macfarlan will remain for several days at Latonia, and while here will take stall applications from owners intending to race at Tijuana next winter. He will also receive entries to the stakes that are listed for decision at tlie track, which includes the 0,000 added Coffroth Handicap. Mr. Macfarlan stated that the experimental meeting held at Memphis, at which he presided, exceeded the expectations of the management and that plans are under way for a revival of the sport in Memphis on a large scale. From here Mr. Macfarlan will go to his home in New Orleans, where, after a brief stay he will go to Tijuana to begin preliminary duties attaching to his office.
