PIMLICOS OPENING FEATURE Weights for 0,000 Added Manly Memorial Steeplechase, Inaugural Attraction on Tuesday. BALTIMORE, Md., Oct. 27. The Laurel meeting ends with todays racing and the scene shifts to the famous Pimlico course, where on Tuesday the Maryland Jockey Club will inaugurate what is expected to be the greatest fall meeting ever staged by that popular and successful racing organization. Pimlico will have a clear field in the East during the twelve days of racing, with the exception of Tuesday and Wednesday, the final days at Empire City. With the conclusion of the sport on the metropolitan circuit, making exception for the two days conducted by the United Hunts Racing Association on November 3 and November 6, all of the principal stables that have been campaigning on the New York tracks will come here to race at Pimlico. Steeplechasing has always been a popular feature of the meeting at Pimlico and the Maryland Jockey Club endeavors to give its patrons the best in the line of the sport, as it always has done on the flat. With that end in view the Manly Memorial Steeplechase, with ?10,000 added, is provided as the inaugural feature of the meeting, being scheduled to be run Tuesday, the opening day.
