j EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES Jockey E. Bell was suspended for the remainder of the meeting for crowding in the sixth race of Friday. T. I. Jones, 35 years old and employed around New York race tracks for some time, was killed Friday afternoon by a truck in front of Woodlawn Cemetery while on his way to the Empire City track. His home was at "Utopia, Tex., thirty miles fron San Antonia, D. R. Daniel will leave for New Orleans with the R. Brown horses at the end of the Empire City meeting. He has turned over the P. J. Lavan horses, which were in his charge, to J. A- Coburn, who will take them to Tijuana. Joseph McLennan, racing secretary at Bowie, was a visitor. He distributed the condition books for the coming meeting at Prince George Parle Jockey H. Wakoff was suspended by the stewards for the remainder of the meeting for crowding in the sixth, race Friday.
