IRISH STABLE BOYS STRIKE All Hands Called Out at The Cur-ragh When Wage Reduction Is Announced by Trainers. A strike of stable boys was called at The Curragh, Ireland, recently over a matter of wages, which the trainers wish to adjust proportionally to the fall which lias taken place in the cost of living, while the employes protest against any alternation. None of the other stables in Ireland is affected by the strike, which it is thought will not be of long duration. The strikers agreed that one of their number might remain in each stable to feed and water horses during the period of the dispute. The ramifications of the stable boys strike later extended to the apprentices, who, having declined to discharge duties which they claimed were beyond the scope of their ordinary work threatened to withdraw their services and to join their fellows on strike. Picketing Is proceeding brjskly. The strike is expected to end in a few days.
