GRAND NATIONAL TRIAL LONDON, England, Feb. 28. There is great interest in the National Trial Steeplechase, to be run at-Gatwick Friday. Trainer George Blackwell has announced that he expects to start Sergeant Murphy and Drifter, Stephen Sanfords candidates for the Liverpool Grand National, in this race at Gatwick, which is at three and a quarter nnles. Both of the Sanford jumpers are reported in fine condition and training satisfactorily for the big jumping fixture at Ain-tree. The weather at Newmarket, where they are quartered, is bitterly cold and snow has been falling there steadily. Silvio is now favorite at 9 to 1 in the Grand National future books; Conjuror IT. is at 10 to 1, Max at 100 to C, Alcazar at 20 to 1, and Eureka at 25 to 1.
