CARPATHIAN was brought wide when entering the stretch, but finished fast and should have won, hut his rider was overconfident after passing TWOPAIR and threw the race awav. TWOPAIR raced into the lead, hut tired near the end. SIMPLE SIMON traveled on the inside nil the way in the worst going. THE GIRL ran well. QUIET set the pace to the stretch and quit.
