4 GOOD NEWS FOR CALIFORNIA Folks in California who are hopeful .that some day the legislature may see its way clear to enact a racing bill that will permit of pari-mutuels will breathe a sigh of relief that the anti-pari-mutuel bill in Kentucky has been killed by the state senate. Kentucky has been looked upon from time immemorial as one of those communities that is staunchly in favor of racing. For Kentucky to have turned down the machines would have been a sad blow indeed and an argument those opposed to any form of wagering on races would quickly have seized upon.
