Won driving: second and third the same. BEAR SHOT, showing much speed, saved ground when turning for home and when cut off when a sixteenth out by the leaders, was taken to the outside, where he came fast to win, drawing clear. SEQUAN, after unseating his rider at the post and running away for a half-mile, showed the most speed and hanging on tenaciously when challenged only gave way near the end. SAN ISABEL forced the pace from the start, but tired when seemingly the winner. GIRL SCOUT and MY DESTINY were shut off and forced to pull up soon after the start. SANGRADO, a forward contender from the start, easily passed the leaders in the Glial sixteenth to win going away. MAYO B. showed a good order of speed in pacemaking, but tired when challenged and had to be hard ridden to save second place. SCOTTISH LAD finished with a belated rush. SEA BEACH ran a good half, but tired in the final strides. sniFTY was forced to race wide. GALWAY was shut off soon after the start. Scratched 77730 Emden. CLARKSON raced in closest pursuit of the pacemaker until after entering the stretch, where he parsed him and, standing a hard drive, just managed to withstand the challenge of GRAYSON. The latter finished fast and gamely and would have won in the next stride. FABER tired after setting the puce to the last eighth. SAN HEDRON was hard ridden and did liis best. FRANK FOGARTY raced in closest pursuit and appeared all over the winner midway of the stretch, but tired finally. FAYELLE made up ground and finished fast and gamely. SPREAD EAGLE, showing much speed, set the early pace and was displaced by FIRM FRIKND when passing the hair, then took the lead again and gamely withstood the final rush of SUNNYLAND. The hitter was in close quarters at the start, then got clear and ran a good and game race. FIRM FRIEND, after alternating in forcing and setting the pace, tired badly. BE FRANK made up ground in a fast finish. ABADANE was cased up in the final quarter when his task was hopeless. Overweight Abadane, 2 pounds.
