Epinards Visit Now Certain NEW YORK, March G. Signed contracts for the visit of Epinard, Pierre Wcrtheiincrs sensational four-year-cld, to this country for a scries of three races under wcight-for-agc conditions, arrived in New York Thursday, according to a statement issued by B. M. Douglas, a partner of the French perfumer. These contracts, which are signed by August Belmont, president of the Westchester Racing Association; James Shcvlin, president of the Queens County Jockey Club; Matt J. Winn, general manager of the Kentucky Jockey Club, and Mr. Wcr-thcimcr, embody plans and arrangements made during Mr. Wertheimers visit to this country a few months ago. The first of the three races which Epinard is to run in this country will be a three-quarters sweepstakes under wcight-for-agc conditions at Belmont Park early in September. The second race, under similar conditions at one mile, will be a feature of the fall meeting at Aqueduct. The third and most important of the races will be a mile and a quarter race at Latonia in October. The contract provides that Epinard shall be shipped to this country in plenty of time to become thoroughly acclimated and trained for his engagements here. It further provides iial he shall, engage in no other races in this country prior to the fulfillment of the contract.
