TANFORAN STAKE PROGRAM Seven Feature Eaces Announced for Pacific Coast Jockey Club Spring Meeting. SAN FRANCISCO, Cal., March 6. Seven stakes, each with an added value of ,000, will he offered at the spring meeting of the Pacilic Coast Jockey Club at Tan-foran, running for twenty days, from May 3 to May 25. Entries for the stake, races are to close April 1 and it is expected that each race will have a good representation. The total amount of money to be given away in purses will total ,SG0. On each day of the weeks racing there will be two purses of 00 each, two witli a value of ?500 and two of . On stake days ono of the above mentioned events will be eliminated, as there will be six races to the card. There will be two stake races each week. The stake program is as follows: Opening Handicap, ,000 added, for three-year-olds and over, at one and a sixteenth miles. To be run Saturday. May 3. Hopeful Stakes, ,000 added, for two-year-old maidens, at one-half mile. To be run "Wednesday, May 7. Peninsular Stakes, ?1,000 added, for three-year-olds, at one mile and seventy yards. To he run Saturday, May 10. Disposal Selling Stakes, ,000 added, for three-year-olds and over, at seven-eighths mile. To he run "Wednesday, May 17.
