TWENTY-FIVE NAMED FOR CHICAGO SPECIAL Grand Array of Entries for the 5,000 Race at Hawthorne . Chacolet, Sarazen, Little Chief, Princess Doreen, Giblon, Mad Hatter, Mad Play and Other Stars Among the Probable Starters in Next Saturdays Feature HAWTHORNE RACE TRACK, August 18. The Chicago Special of 5,000, to be raced for next Saturday and to which entries closed Saturday night, ieeeired twenty-five entries and includes some of the best at present in training. It is expected that at least eight of the more notable ones in the list will respond to th buglers call and contest for the rich purse and honor of being successful in the fixture. Chacolet, the queen of western mares, and Princess Doreen, the best cf the fillies, aro both snugly put away at Hawthorne, where the final prep will be put on them for Saturdays fixture. Both shipped well and, according to their handlers, are at the top of their form. King Solomons Seal was not shipped with the Audley Farm Stable, but will be shipped later in the week. In addition to Princess Doreen the Audley Farm Stable also sent Surf JRider. Avhich is in the Labor Day Handicap. The full shipment includes: Princess Doreen, Surf Rider, Pegasus, New Gold, The Tramp, Captain Martin, Hobson, Star Sweeper, Fuo, Dangerillo, Silver Slippers and Fairy Master. Kay Spence, the chief trainer of the stable, is in personal charge. The Hal Price Headley horses, which include Chacolet, Hopeless and Pyroot are in charge of Tommy Taylor and jeekey J. A. Byrne is Avith the horses. Giblon came out of his race Saturday in fine condition. Many shrewd horsemen are picking him as the winner of the Special. They point out that in Saturdays race he had up his weight-for-age and was giving twelve pounds to Red Wingfield and twenty-two pounds to The Roll Call. A mile and a. sixteenth over the cuppy track in 1:4S was accepted as a sterling performance. The horse promises also to be formidable in the LaAvrence Realization at Belmont Park in September, in which he will be a starter.
