CHINK, away well, sprinted into the lead quickly and, setting a good pace, swerved in the stretch when lie tired, but outstayed FADDIST at the end. The latter moved up resolutely from the far turn, but was brought, wide into the stretch and he came again at the end. BRIGHT STEEL was n forward contender throughout and finished on the inside, but tired badly. EDISTO ran well. MARK OVER begun slowly. ADRIANOPLE closed up some. ground. ELZEAR was saved under restraint through the first turn of the field, then raced to the front when called on and won in a canter. GRAYLETTE followed the leaders close up and made a challenge when going to the ninth jump, but was easily held safe. cnARLTON was closer up than usual in the first turn of the field and had no mishaps. STOCKMAR was much used in racing COONCAN into defeat and tired. The latter fell at the twelfth jump. Scratched 77302 Chopsticks, 132; Bachelors Kiss, 145. Won driving; second and third the same. WELLFINDER at once drew away into the lead and, withstanding challenges from RIGEL, out finished SCOOP in the final drive. SCOOP, away well, was taken back and saved and, coming on the outside on the stretcli turn, finished fast and was wearing the winner down at the end. RIGEL reared in the air at the start and moved up witli a rush into second place, but was tiring at the end. COSTIGAN began very slowly. COCKNEY raced well. DONGES had no mishaps. The latter set a good pace from the start, saved ground on all the turns and only succumbed in the last two strides. PLOUGH BOY moved up on the backstretch, but did not respond when put to a drive. Start good and slow. Won easily; second and third driving. KENTUCKY CARDINAL began sluggishly, but meed past the leaders with a rush into a safe lead and won in a canter. MIRADOR was shuffled back shortly after the start, but worked his way up and outfinished SILVER FOX at the end. SILVER FOX was taken to the outside on the stretch turn and finished with a belated rush. STAR LORE met with interference. McCULLOCH and NEW MOON showed speed, but quit badly.
