WINROCK began well, but her rider almost fell off, causing her to be far back through the first quarter and, coming with a rush in the stretch, barely missed getting up. MAY RUDDY had to work through a rough race in the early running and was racing gamely at the end. GLENTILT began slowly and had to close an immense gap. HAROLD K. began tiring in the last eighth after showing the most early speed. BRIAN KENT, possibly best, was taken far in the rear until in the stretch, where he came with a rush. JACK FROST set a good pace, but tired in the stretch. MARGARET WARE ran well. MERRIMAC quit in the last quarter. THE FOREIGNER can do much better.
