Old "Pop" Geers Dead, Daily Racing Form, 1924-09-04

OLD "POP" GEERS DEAD WU:cHrg, W. Va., September 3. Edward "Pop" Geers was fatally injured here this afternoon when Milady, a horse he was driving in the second heat of the first race, stumbled and Geers was catapulted out of the sulky. He was picked up unconscious and rushed to a local hospital and placed oh the operating table. He died from his injuries late this afternoon.
