RIGEL showed the most speed from the start and, setting a fast pace, crossed over to the inner rail and drew away into a cantering lead in the stretch. CALIGULA followed the winner closely throughout and finished fast. FEYSUN ran a good race and finished with a rush. ARAGON closed a big gap while racing on the outside. REPRISAL began very slowly. SARZANA worked her way up on the outside and, passing GOLDPIECE, finished fast. GOLDPIECE showed much speed for the first half and tired. IDIOSYNCRASY finished fast from a slow beginning. MISS BELLE was much used in racing PAT CASEY into defeat and tired badly in the final sixteenth. BOWMAN was outpaced for the first half and, -while coming through on the inside in the stretch," was cut off and forced to come on the outside. POOR SPORT tired. PRISCILLA RULEY was shuffled back early, but moved up rapidly on the outside on the stretch turn and, finishing resolutely through the stretch, held MAD PLAY safe in the final drive. The latter was saved under restraint and came from behind the leaders on the stretch turn and finished fastest of all. INITIATE ran a good race and disposed of LEOPARDESS. The latter raced into the lead in the first half, but tired badly when called on in the final drive. BEGINNERS LUCK ran a good race, but also tired badly in the final eighth. MONNA VANNA, In closest pursuit from the start, made a threatening rush on the stretch turn, but was easily held safe. BRIGHT IDEA showed much speed and finished fast on the outside.
