HAVRE DE GRACE NOTES HAVRE DE GRACE, Md., April 27. Thos. Healey sent Faddist back to New York yesterday with the shipment that left for Jamaica. Roman Bachelor was kicked by In Me-mcriam while at the post on Saturday and is quite lame. Max Hirsch shipped the two-year-old Applecross and Pepp back to Belmont Park yesterday. William Midgeley will ship his string from here to Pimlico on Thursday. Dr. F. W. Ashe was an arrival from New York and was busy during the afternoon interesting horseman in the Ak-Sar-Ben meeting to be given in Omaha. Eight of the Belair Studs string arrived at Pimlico. James Fitzsimmons came direct to Havre de Grace. Aga Khan and Flames were among the shipment. Saturday was a busy day with the halter* men. Among those claimed were Chef by Mrs. A. E. Alexandra for ,250. Top Sergeant by Peter Reilly for ,000, Old Timer by J. F. Richardson for ,S00 and The Archer by O. B. Akers for ,000. Joe Rowan has taken over Golden Wings for W. Byrnes. The division of the W. S. Kilmer string quartered at Pimlico will be joined tomorrow by the nine that trainer J. P. Smith has here. General manager Edward Burke acted as presiding steward at Havre de Grace this afternoon in the absence of George Brown, Jr., the representative of the Maryland State Racing Commission. John Wessler has taken over the plater Top Sergeant to train. He will leave for Jamaica tomorrow accompanied by the apprentice Mozer. Wessler holds the contract on the latter. Pimlico was open this morning and about forty jumpers were schooled over the steeplechase course. Among them were the J. Howard Lewis, William Garth and William Both strings. Red Wingfield Belphrizonia, Privilege and Gonfalon were shipped to the J .M. Black-well Farm near Havre de Grace to be turned out until next fall. Privilege will be bred to Gonfalon. Del Fountain who has had charge of R. Clarks farm in Kentucky for the past few years, was a visitor at Havre de Grace. He recently severed his connection with the Clark establishment and is here looking for material for a campaign on the Canadian circuit.
