V I LEXINGTON TURF NOTES j LEXINGTON, Ky., April 27. Jockey Willie Pool has signed a contract to ride for the stable of Cal Milam. W. J. Marlman is a recent arrival from Huntington with the horses Julia and Deceitful. Beau Butler was shipped this morning to Maryland to start in the rich Dixie Handicap. He was in charge of Ben Leigh, foreman of Idle Hour Stock Farm. Beau Butler will be ridden by H. Meyer. R. T. Wilson, president of the Saratoga track, was an arrival and will remain several days to witness the racing here and some of his stock at his farm. Jockey Ridenour will not be allowed to ride again until after May 1, having been suspended for that period by the Tijuana officials. Several other rulings on the same track that reached secretary Sherwood today j might result in the withdrawal of several licenses granted by the Kentucky State Racing Commission. Step Along was worked late this afternoon a mile and an eighth in 1 :54% in handy style.
