VALENTINE set a fast pace from the start and won easing up. FLYING CLOUD began slowly and was forced to race wide on the first turn, but ran a good race and was wearing 1ONJOLA down and outgamed him at the end. The latter was hard ridden for the entire race and tired in the final drive. MALAPERT was taken up on the turn into the back stretch. SETTING SUN tired after moving up rapidly while rounding the far turn. HEIR -AT-LAW was kicked by MALAPERT while on the way to the post and had a very rough race. Scratched — 88023 Lucifer. 16. TRY AGAIN raced into the lend and tired, but came again in the home stretch and finished fast on his own courage. WHITE MARSH saved ground on all the turns and finished close up. STONE JUG ran well to the stretch and tired. JULIA M. was shuffled back while going to the first turn. ROYAL DUCK began slowly and was ridden hard In the early running, but was eased up at the end.
