w — AKRON TURF NOTES AKRON, Ohio, April 27. Jockey T. Buel was suspended for five days by the starter for disobedience at the post on Saturday. Jockeys .1. ierrity and B. Scully were suspended for the remainder of the meeting for incompetent rides on Gem and Hoover. Ceorge Palmer, who will do the starting at Maple Heights, was a visitor today. He reports that Charles Henry, who formerly served as placing judge on the Kentucky tracks, has been engaged as racing secretary at the Cleveland meeting. The string of Padgett and Dougherty, comprising twelve head, has arrived at Maple Heights. Mr. Dougherty was an arrival today and stated that he will start some horses here this week. They will be vanned over from tho Cleveland course. 1
