Dick Welles Selections SelectionsAt At Aurora BATTLE SHOT BOONEVILLE MOVE ON SETH SETHHorses Horses with mud running ability are to have their inning today for rain visited these jiarts Friday and left the track in a sloppy condition Unless a good strong sun should make its appearance to dry the track out to some extent it is thought that the going will be muddv Basing on a muddy track BATTLE SHOT is our selection in the opening numlrer She performs well on a heavy course and was the winner in her last start In her present good form she should prove a repeater BOONEVILLE has had but one race since arriving from Tijuana and he performed poorly He is more or less partial to the sticky going and for that reason believe he will show to much better advantage today MOVE ON SETH seems to be the choice for the show portion of the purse purseSISTER SISTER JOSELLA MIGHTY C T WORTHINGTON WORTHINGTONPlay Play SISTER JOSELLA for a repeater in the second is our advice to you It is over the Exposition Course distance and should be all to her liking She has been racing in fine style here winning one race and placing in her two other starts Track con ¬ ditions hold no terror for her and if she gets off well we are expecting her to have little trouble in running her score to two MIGHTY makes his first appearance of the local season He comes from Columbus with quite an impressive record and needs but to continue in the same good form to knock down the place portion of the purse C T WORTHINGTON has managed to get in the money on a couple of occasions and a race back to his last out should see him again occupying the three hole holeMAYBERRY MAYBERRY KITTEN ON THE KEYS CUBAN FLAG FLAGMAYBERRY MAYBERRY has shown ability to race in the mud on more than one occasion and for that reason is our selection to cop honors in the third race a fiseeighths dash for twoyearolds Both winning races to his credit were over a track other than fast and with a muddy track for todays races we feel that he will show to good advan ¬ tage here KITTEN ON THE KEYS won a few races in the mud at Tampa and if she runs as kindly over this course will very likely be the one to place CUBAN FLAG finally came to life Thursday and scored a lucky victory over Dad Wilson ind Erla Lee II If he repeats that effort today he is going to prove dangerous for he can negotiate the muddy going as well as any of them FAST SET is about due for a good race and if she elects to run may be able to get a portion of the purse money moneyMONDAY MONDAY MORNING HUON TINE IEVOY IEVOYThe The King James racer MONDAY MORN ¬ ING should not have much trouble in ac ¬ counting for the fourth number a five and a half furlongs dash He is a mud runner of the superior type and if he shows any of his known speed at all could easily set back this bunch HUON PINE has not been to the races since the meeting at Lex ¬ ington He is nowheres the racer he used to be but should be good enough to grab off the place money here The soft going should prove helpful to his unsteady under ¬ pinning also LEVOY makes his debut to racegoers in these parts in this race and he threatens to make tlie race interesting for the others should he race back to his best form He has been racing over the longer distances of late but each time seemed to tire after the mile was passed Maybe this shorter distance will be more to his liking likingBOLTON BOLTON CROSS BOW GEORGE GEORGEDE DE MAR MARThe The Aurora Handicap at a mile and a sixteenth brings out the best field of the day and at the weights a good race should result BOLTON the Durnell racer gets in with 98 pounds and at the weight allot ¬ ment looks like the logical play He has performed well in the muddy going and with his light impost should hold all the advantages He has finally reached his best form and a race back to his out before last would find him home an easy winner CROSS BOW failed miserably in his last start after winning two in a row If he has not lost all semblance of form he should go well enough here to take down the place money GEORGE DE MAR is to carry top weight in the race and while his two most recent races do not bespeak of much he won two races before them in handy fashion one being over a heavy course A return to that form would make him dan ¬ gerous and he should at least get the small end of the purse purseBABBLING BABBLING SAGAMOOK DOROTHY ADAMS ADAMSThrow Throw out that race run by BABBLING Thursday and she would rate as the most probable winner on the card That per ¬ formance was on a fast track not to her liking She shows her best efforts when the track is holding in fact she is a mud eater to use the expression At the recent Mobile meeting she was victorious in four of her sir starts through the mud each one finding her the winner by many lengths Assuming that the track will be anything but fast for today we think she should not have much trouble in scoring here SAGAMOOK is in fine form at the present and he too can plow through the going We think BAB ¬ BLING is much better than the latter however and dont look for him to bother her to any extent DOROTHY ADAMS has been threatening of late and this looks like a good spot for her to show POLLY AT WELL will also have to be given considera ¬ tion on her last two races which were wins winsGUNSIGHT GUNSIGHT AERAGOSA RUNNING FOX FOXIn In the concluding tilt over the newly in ¬ augurated Trimble Course distance GUN SIGHT appears to be the logical play He met defeat in his last out but at that was only beaten a little over a length The time before that found him leading the way to the others through the mud to win by a length and a half A repeat of that effort would see him again the first to greet the judges ARRAGOSA is the danger in the race His three last races have been on the improve and is about ready for a winning effort Providing he does not find this distance too long for him look for him to be close up at the finish RUNNING FOX turned in a winning performance his last race and if he runs as well today may get the show against this better class of company One Best Bet BABBLINCr in the Sixth Eace
