J. K. It, Ross" fleet filly Tattling gave a sparkling exhibition of her gamenes.s in the running of the Dominion Plate here today, when she carried off the honors of the feature offering at the Hamilton Jockey Club course before one of the largest crowds of the present meeting. Tattling was forced to overcome repeated interference during the mile and one sixteenth and accomplished this feat in amazing fashion, much to the delight of her many admirers who installed her a prohibitive choice After several minutes delay at the barrier I the field was sent on its way to a good start | and there was a mad rush for the first turn, i with Fleet Street showing the way. Jean rest was next in ordvi . while Tattling, which had encountered tn.nble. had recover! I sufficiently to maintain third position on reaching the back stretch. Fleet Strict held on his lead until reaching the half-mile ground, where Abel callea on Jean Crest and she went into the lead, while Tattling had taken second place. At the top of the stretch Abel took Jean Crest out in search of better footing and Tattling, alongside, was for-ed out with her. Walls applied the whip to the Ross filly when straightened out and, wearing down the leader, passed the finish a length in advance of Phanariot, fcom the Seagram Stable. Outsiders finished one-two-three in the opening race, a five and one-half furlongs dash for non-winners at the meeting, when Sister Sue scored in rather easy fashion from Regal Toy and Rock Sugar. Tayl r had the mount on the winner, which raced in her new owners colors for the first time today, and keeping her close to the pace cut out by Regal Toy and Glimmering came on to win by a little better than two lengths, while Regal Toy had a five lengths margin over Rock Sugar. Heartache made a runaway of the second, winning by two lengths from Aregal and five others that made up the field, taking command from the rise of the barrier. Walls permitted her to move along at a fast dip and, opening up a five lengths lead on her rivals, kept them at bay for the remainder of the journey. Aregal had very little difficulty in keeping second place safe, after being closest in attendance of the winner the last part of the distance. Signola had her chances ruined when Abel took her up while racing in close quarters going to the turn. Although forced to do her best after opening what appeared to be a safe lead. Mabel K., was winner t.f the third race and mad.-it two in a row for supporters of favorites. Her success was loudly acclaimed when sin-returned to the scales. Peternel rushed tin-winner to the front going down the back stretch after being last to leave the hairier and succeeded in outsprinting her company.
