I KENTUCKY TURF NOTES I •§ — # LOUISVILLE. Ky.. April 1. Otto "Brick" Torrell. who had considerable success with his small stable at the Florida tracks, has arrived here from Miami and secured stabling for his horses at Douglas Park. The string included Odd Seth. Nabisco. Jealous, Battle Field. Royal Rally and a two-year-old. The stable will be sent to Lexington within two weeks. R. W. Collins was advised that his mare Precious Pearl, had foaled a fine looking bay colt by High Time at E. G. Drakes farm near Lexington. Precious Pearl is the dam of Lee O. Cotner which raced successfully in Collins colors a couple of years ago. John S. Middleton, trainer of the Crescent Stable of Mrs. H. S. Croissant, has arranged to take up and place in training eight of the stables horses that have been turned out at Cal Milams Merrick Place Farm. Jockey T. Murray, who has been at his home in Cincinnati since the Lexington fall meeting, has arrived at Churchill Downs. He stated that he will ride as a free lance on the Kentucky circuit this spring. Will Cunningham and tommy Oliphant. well-known dockers, have returned from the south and resumed their work of timing the runners at Churchill Downs. Col. Arthur Board of Louisville, has purchased from Pete Coyne. Tilden. a three-year-old colt by Leonardo II. — Madame Herrmann. The colt has been turned over to Mose Lowenstein to train. Judge Charles F. Price, associate manager of the Kentucky Jockey Club, and steward at Churchill Downs, Latonia and Lincoln Fields, arrived from Naples, Fla.. where he had been the guest of George M. Hendrie for the past three months. Judge Price returned in perfect health and much benefited by his winter vacation. He lost no time in assuming his duties at Churchill Downs. * — —
