PROMISING YOUNG RACER WASHINGTON. D. C, April 1.— Among the many juveniles at Penning, which have attracted more than average attention re-cenly. is a slashing bay colt by Sweep — Polistena. which trainer Preston Burch of the Nevada Stock Farm Stable wintered there. This youngster is a brother to General Thatcher and gives every indication of upholding that good performers early reputation. It is probable that he will be reserved for Havre de Grace competition, but the Jennings colony predict that a real runner will be seen when he does appear.
