SAM SLICK raced into third place quickly, and held it gamely to the end. RlNKAI.K was hard ridden and i-et the early pace, but tired RKI SPRICK stjll well, but raced green and would not extend himself in the early running. LIEUTENANT II. raced in close pursuit of the pacemakers, then came with a rnsh after rounding the far turn and, taking the lead, withstood a hard drive gamely to the end. THE HEATHEN passed THOMASINE into the lead and made a fast and game finish. CUDGELLER. very fractious at the post, was outrun for the first five-eighths, then came to the outside of the leaders and finished fastest o£ 1 all. PATRICIA J. lacked early speed. THOMASINE qnit. WATER LAD came over sharply against NETTA RUN on the first tnrn and she was knocked out of any chance, then sprinted into a long lead and easily held the race safe to the end. SOLACE was closest up for the entire race and finished gamely. POLISn was never able to get into the lead, but came out into the better going in the stretch and finished resolutely. INQUISITOR was always outpaced. NETTA RUN was crowded back on the first turn and lost all chance. PRINCES1TA was taken up soon after the start and was not persevered with. VOSHELL sprinted into a long lead, but was made entirely too much use of and tired in the last quarter. KEYDET raced into second place with :i rush and tired, but finished gamely. FOREST LORE was taken off his stride on reaching the hack stretcft and dropped back to the rear, then came again and finished well.
