* ! » - 1 f KING EDWARD PARK CHARTER £ TOROXTO. Out.. April ?.— From Montreal comes word that Tom Duggan has taken over r the charter for King Kdward Park, a half-mile track, which has not been in operation 1 for several years, and it is thought likely • that lie will use the charter to conduct a 1 race meeting at the new course he is building near Mount Royal. Mr. Duggans original idea was to stage dog racing at his new course, but he has revised his plans in view of the failure of the dog-racing interests to 0 secure legislation to permit that sport. The ■ King Edward Park charter was purchased from the late Alexander Desmarteau, who ■ promoted several meetings at the little island track some years back. » . _
