WILSONS STABLE Thoroughbreds Enjoy Advantages C of Indoor Track at the Oakville Farm. T »Ri iXTO. Out., April 9— In addition, to twelve Irish hunters imported by Hugh I Wilson last February, the well-known _ Oakville sportsman has three good-looking i yearlings, the Kings Plate eligible, Barrie McNeill, and the Xealon mare, Lady Xealon. with a two weeks old filly foal, by Rock- , ville. at the farm. o The Plate eligible, while he did not race • impressively in his few starts as a two-year- old last season, has enjoyed the advantage the indoor track at the up-to-date Oak- I ville plant. He has been going all winter v and is ready to start on the more serious | outdoor training just as soon as the weather l permits. He is a long-bodied bay colt, built i along the handsome lines of his sire, and in ; view of the start he has on many candidates I the matter of training he will have to be s considered among the early favorites for the t Guineas. 1 All three of the yearlings are fillies and t all by Rockville. Two of these, one from Prosperina, and the other from Pax, are ] particularly impressive youngsters. The Pax I filly is the smallest - f this pair, but she is ] the stablee choice. She is a short, thick- bodied individual and has a p?rfect manner going. The remaining filly is from Rady t Xealon. Turned out on the indoor track, which ten turns to the mile, the three yearlings ] show a natural inclination to run and the 1 daughter of Pax is always a one-to-four shot with the stable attendants to lead her : half-sisters every turn of the track. t The infield is laid out with jumps for the indoor schooling of the hunters and the j whole surface of the track is covered with i combination of tanbark and clay, the | former predominating, which provides a safe, I easy footing for the horses. The interior • made as bright as day through many window openings. 1 Mr. Wilsons place, while not as pretentious as some in the province, is a model 1 establishment. All the stabling, feed quar- ; ters and track are under one roof and the whole plant is modernly equipped with heating, lighting and other facilities. It is a pleasure to be able to report that every horse in the establishment is doing just as well as it can do this spring. _ * — — _
