B. A. JONES IMPROVING LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 21— John B. Partridge, who has a stable of horses In training at Churchill Downs, has shipped Billy Culbeitson, Geo. Groom, May Seth and Sethfer to Lexington to race. Jockey W. Bowden went along with the horses. According to advices just received by Mr. Partridge from Benjamin A. Jones, well known thoroughbred breeder and owner of Parnell. Mo., the latter has fully recovered from an operation to his back which he underwent at a St. Joseph, Mo., hospital abotit two months ago. The operation was for the removal of a tumor that developed after Mr. Jones had been kicked by a stock horse on his farm. Mr. Jones has at present fourteen horses at the Aurora track in charge of his son James Jones, who is just entering upon his career as a trainer.
