LEXINGTON TURF N0TES~T LEXINGTON, Ky., April 21. Jockey Willie Crump, under contract to the Audley Farm, has been engaged to ride J. W. Parishs Polled Stocking in ail stakes not patronized by Audley Farm. Crump, as well as C. Lang, L. Pi.jhon and several other ridt is. came over from Chun-hill Downs for the purpose of accepting mounts here. T. Gerry and T. Scott have purchased privately from Mose Coldblatt the filly Bottom Dollar. .She will be retired to the Stud, and has been booked to Peter Pan. Charles Eidwill, secretary of the Illinois Turf Association, was among the Chicagoana here for the opening days sport. L. Gentry is making the engagements of jockey Karl Ilorvath, one of the most sought riders here. Gentry yesterday sent the two-year-old Aristocrat to J. B. R?spess, at Louisville. The former has a number of useful performers ready for racing here. 11. MeGarvey, trainer for Stuyvesant Pea-body, prominent Chicago sportsman, accompanied apprentice Carl Meyer over from Louisville. Meyers book has bsen taken over by Johnny Daniels and McGarvey returned to Louisville this evening. The. stable that E. C Anthony has here for EL Massey, embraces the useful performers Cyclops, Florian, Tannic, Celidon. Chatson, Dumpy, John Speed and A. -E. Bensinger. Joe-key A. Abel will do the stables riding for a short time before departing lor New York. John W. Davis is training the thirteen horses C. L. Whiting of New fork lias here. The stable is made up of three three-year-olds and ten juvenilis. Davis is handling the older horses Myrtle Dee and Atenas, and three two-year-olds. F. F. Brant is here with but one horse, the plater Dotlus D., the property of F. P. Wilson. Scotland Yard, a three-year-old, is the only racer G. F. Taylor has in training. Bonivan, Bchoiight, Settysburg, No Quarter and Loud Speaker were brought over from Louisville by Jim Everman, who took quarters outside the Kentucky Association track. L. J. Kusa has taken over the horse March On to train and race for J. Bird. Seven horses have seen registered by Maj. T. C. McDowell. They are in charge of trainer J. Lee, and Jack Howard will do the stables riding. The horses are Commander-in-Chief, Infatuation, Double Quick, Winging, Preference and the two-year-eMa Guide, bay gelding, by The Manager Caution, and Slim, hay gelding, by The Manager — lllu.a. Arthur Blaiichard, New Orleans and Chicago racing official, was among the opening day visitors. He will proesed to Aurora early-next week: John lIcKeef, who spent the entire winter at Tijuana, arrived from California in time for the Kentucky inaugural and will remain indefinitely.
