0,000 FOR FRENCH MARE SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. PARIS, France. April 28.— George D. Widener an American turfman, bought from L. Manta the mare Titanite, the eleven-year old daughter of Sardanapale— Saint Astra, by Ladas, with her foal by Transvaal. The purchase price was not announced, but it is said to have been ab jut 530,000. Titanite was bred by Baron Maurice de Rothschild. She will be brpd to Dark Legend and will be shipped to the United States next October.
