t CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES ] 4, — # LEXINGTON". Ky., May 7. Prank J. Navin. owner of the Detroit Baseball Club and assf ciated with AV. O. Brings and C. T. Fisher in the ownership of the Bloomfield Stable, is an arrival to make an Indefinite ;tay. He is accompanied by Mrs. Navin and reports that Messrs. Brigrgs and Fisher, as well as members of their families and friends, will be here next week to attend the Derby. Additions to the division of the stable of Edward B. McLean, Washington and Cincinnati publisher, which has been here for spme time, were received by assistant trainer Fuerst Sunday. They included Jock, one of the leading candidates for Saturdays renewal of the Clark Handicap; Time Maker, a Derby eligible, and two two-year-olds. They shipped without mishap from Maryland. Toro, regarded as Mr. McLeans chief reliance for the Derby : Greenock. Islam and others owned by Mr. McLean will be shipped here following the running of the Treakness Stakes, in which Toro will be a starter. Trainer John Schorr has them at Iimlico. Bob Gilmore came in from Nashville with six horses ; the half dozen embrace five two-year-olds, owned by P. T. Chinn, and Forefather, a three-year-old, the property of W. R. Coe. From Nashville he shipped a number of China horses to W. Irvine at Torontot
