! I ■ . , , , ! . BECOMES A HORSE OWNER LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 7.— William E. Smith, prominent local business man and member of the racing commission appointed last Saturday by Governor Flem D. Sampson, yesterday acquired from Alex Cordon the three-year-olds Otto and Reproduce and the two-year-old Fillmore. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The horses have been taken over by John Jones to train and are quartered at Douglas Park for the present. The trio will be the first to race for Mr. Smith, who, despite his failure to acquire any horses of his own up to this time, has long been an ardent and enthusiastic lover of the sport. . « .
