LEO MAYER PASSES LAST GATE Through his friend "Sig" Levy, comes the information that Leo Mayer died at Baltimore yesterday morninjr. Little has been heard of him here in recent years. Twenty years back, when he was an associate of Joe Ullman and others of his kind in book-making, none was better known or more successful in the ranks of Chicago layers. Usually a conservative, he could and did at times venture far and daringly. He was well liked here.
