I CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES t s s LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 16. Robert S. Eddy, general manager of Jefferson Park, accompanied by Dr. Russell Stone and James Moran, is due to arrive from New Orleans Friday. Mr. Eddy has been an annual Derby visitor for a number of years. Thomas J. Pendergast, prominent turf patron of Kansas City, was among the early arrivals. Walter Taylor will take a division of the H. P. Headley stable to Arlington Park, and John Daniels will proced to Latonia with others of the establishment at the close of the current meeting. W. H. Whitehouse, owner of the Derby candidate Colonel Shaw, arrived from his home iri Covington to make an extended stay. Mr. and Mrs. E. B. McLean, whose Toro, which was beaten a nose by Victorian in the Preakness Stakes and is one of the Derby choices, are due to arrive here tomorrow. With a party of friends they are expected from Washington aboard a special coach. Jockey W. Crump was forced to decline the mount on Reigh Olga in the Derby, due to the presence of Bobashela in the race. The horse is owned by the Audley Farm Stable, Crumps contract employer.
