ROOT RESUMES RIDING LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 16. — Jockey Tommy Root returned from New Orleans, where he was called by the serious illness of his sister. He resumed riding without delay and will complete his apprenticeship with the conclusion of Thursdays racing.
