FAMOUS ENGLISH HORSE DEAD SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. LONDON. England, May 25.— Svvynford dropped dead at Lord Derbys Woodland Stud at Newmarket today. He was twenty-one years old. The son of John OGaunt — Tristan, headed the sires list in 1923, and he sired the winners of more than one million dollars. The best of his offspring were Ferry, Sansovino, Keyzoe, Bettina, March Along, Black Gauntlet, Blandford, Silurian, Saucy Sue. St. Germains, Tranquil and Top Gallant. In 1910, when Lemberg was the winner, he was interfered with in the Derby. He subsequently proved his high quality in the St. Leger.
