JAMAICAS SPRING MEETING « Total of 29,990 Distributed During 21 Days Eacing. ♦ Ranrorns Stable I. ending Winning Owner — Distraction Tcps the Horses — Riding Honors to L. Fator. • The Jamaica spring meeting -was of twenty-one lays duration, beginning April 23 and ending May lfi, during which time 126 races were run and 29,000 distributed in stakes and prizes, the daily average distribution amounting to 0,052. The Rancocas Stable figured conspicuously in the racing, winning tlie largest number of races and the largest sum of money, heading the owners roster with 2,247. Distraction, Kopeck and Marries were the leaders among the horses, while L. Fator and L. McAtee had a spirited struggle for the riding honcrs, tlie first mentioned bein.? returned victorious by a margin of one winninrr mount. S. C. Uildrcth easily carried off the laurels among the trainers, saddling thirteen winners, more than double the number to the credit of any other trainer.
