DYNAMO WINS BY INCHES Ball Colorbearer Gets Up in Final Strides to Score in Hamiltons Best Race. HAMILTON, Ohio, May 25.— Fortunate in finding an opening next to the inner rail in the stretch, G. S. Balls Dynamo got up in the last few yards in the fifth race, which attracted the best field of the program provided at the Fair Grounds this afternoon, to win by inches. Dynamo was never far from the leaders and finished gamely when called upon for the final effort. Grapestone appeared sore but showed good speed until midway of the stretch, then tired and Bob Spalding had no opposition for second place honors. A cool breeze swept through the stands, making topcoats a necessity for comfort The attendance was up to the standard for a midweek day, however, and the track improved rapidly after last nights rain. A huge surprise came in the sixth race, when Bonsky outstayed Beatrice Morse in the final drive. Beatrice Morse set the pace, with Jibe in closest pursuit. In the final eighth, when Bonsky made his move, Jibe quit and was a distant third. Mally S. and Vacation Time dominated the running throughout in the second race, but the latter went wide at the first turn and, although this pair reached the stretch on even terms, Mally S. proved best when the final drive came. Garr disposed of the others in the stretch. H. Garths Sonmisha graduated from the maiden ranks when he retained a safe lead throughout the running of the initial race. Esther C. outstayed the tiring Western Eagle in the strech for second place, after the latter had forced all the early pace. Finally dropping into a spot which suited her, Erins Bride made a runaway affair of the third race and was never threatened. C. T. Worthington was best of the others. Although she had to be hustled along in the final stages of the fourth race. Angle-plane never relinquished the lead after the start and won by a comfortable margin. Hardman outstayed The Ulster for second place. Brunell raced in close pursuit of Equity until the last quarter of the final race, then moved into the lead and won with much in reserve. War Boy made a resolute finish in the stretch and easily disposed of. the tiring Equity for second place.
