AQUEDUCTS STAKE DATES 0,000 Added Dwyer Stakes to Be Decided June 30 — Brooklyn Handicap June 16. NEW YORK, N. Y., May 25.— The Queens County Jockey Club today announced the revival of twenty-three stake races at its Bummer meeting which opens June 11 at the popular Aqueduct race course. The added values range from ,000 for the claiming stakes to 0,000 for the famous Dwyer Stakes. The Dwyer Stakes will be renewed on June 30. which is also the date for the Tremont Stakes, for two-year-olds. The Dwyer Stakes is for three-year-olds, geldings barred, and it is decided over the mile and a half distance. Run as the Brooklyn Derby from 18S7 to 1917, inclusive, the Dwyer Stakes has been won by many of the turfs most famous thoroughbreds, but the 1920 renewal probably eclipsed all others. That was the year it resolved into a two-horse race, between Man o .War and John P. Grier, the contest, above all others, in which the son of Fair Play proved his worth. Another race of importance is the Brooklyn Handicap. This will be run on June 16, for three-year-oids, and be decided over the mile and an eighth distance. The Brooklyn Handicap las an addd value of 2,500. Like Ahe Dwyer Stakes, it also is a heritage from old Gravescncl, and since its inception has been won by the mightiest of thoroughbreds.
