£ $ METROPOLITAN HANDICAP NEW YORK, N. Y.. May 25.— With fourteen named for the Metropolitan Handicap, the old mile fixture of the Westchester Racing Association to be decided Saturday afternoon, the 1928 renewal promises to be in keeping with its glorious history. The list of probable starters includes the names of the best in the handicap division and most of those engaged have, in recent racing, demonstrated a readiness for the fray. W.- Averill Harrimans Chance Play is at the top of the list, with 126 as his impost His performance in the Toboggan was not exactly impressive, but he had shown well in his trials since that appearance, and he is sure to give an excellent account of himself. In addition to Chance Play, such notable and outstanding stars of the turf as Sarazen, Scapa Flow, Os-mand. Black Maria, Happy Argo, Nimba, Chance Shot and others are probable starters, assuring the immense crowd certain to be present at Belmont Park a fast run and stubbornly contested race.
