READY AT WINDSOR TRACK First of Final Two Meetings at Popular Old Course to Begin This Afternoon. WINDSOR, Ont., June 15.— After an absence of nine months the thoroughbreds return to Windsor for the opening of the old Windsor Jockey Club track, which gets under way Saturday afternoon, under the management of the ever popular "Bill" Woollatt, who has leased the course from the city to stage two meetings this summer before the Ouelltte Avenue track disappears to make room for a site for civic purposes in the fall. Mr. Woollatt has seen that all is in readiness and has the plant in tip-top condition, the scenic surroundings presenting a very pleasing appearance. The racing public is anxiously awaiting the bugle call inaugurating what promises to be the most successful race meeting ever staged at a border city course. Racing secretary Charles Henry has arranged a splendid program of sport for the opening day, with the Gadsden D. Bryan Memorial Handicap, with a value of ,500, over the mile and a sixteenth routo occupying the feature position on the card.
