RACING AT BLUE BONNETS Annual Spring Meeting to Be Ushered in Today Under Most Favorable Auspices. MONTREAL, Que., June 15.— The twenty-second annual spring meeting of the Montreal Jockey Club will be ushered in at Blue Bonnets tomorrow, under conditions which promise to make this one of the best meetings ever held at this most beautiful race course. Secretary McLennan has arranged an enticing program of seven races, which is sure to prove a magnet that racegoers here will find hard to resist. Montrcalers will be treated to some real good sport. The fields in a majority of the races are made up of good class horses. The absence of the "half milers" is noticeable, which is indeed a relief. The bright particular feature is the running of the Kindergarten Stakes, one of the annual fixtures of the spring meeting. It is a five-eighths mile dash, for two-year-olds, to which ,500 has been added. There are fourteen carded and five of them were winners at the New York tracks this spring, two of them, Calm and Dunkirk, in stake races. Then there are provided as an additional attraction the Blue Bonnets Handicap, ,200 added, at seven-eighths mile, in which seven of the best horses that ever went to the post at this course are named to start. Many improvements have been made at Blue Bonnets since fall, principal of which is the erection of a new stewards stand, which is located i the infield, on a line with the inside fence. It is a handsome structure, three stories high. Weather forecasts are for bright skies and with the track in splendid condition some interesting sport should be witnessed. Horses will be called to the post for the first race at 3 oclock daylight saving time.
