TORO IN FINE CONDITION LATONIA, Ky., June 15. — Toro, which accounted for the American Derby for E. B. McLean, had his first trial since that race, when he went a half mile in :5l this morning. Trainer J. F. Schorr reports him in fine condition and, barring mishaps, expects to have him at his best for the Latonia Derby renewal a week hence. Schorr directed a brisk quarter for Time Maker, the good winter performer in the McLean barn that is getting ready to resume racing. He worked the short distance in :23% easily.
