f AQUEDUCT TURF NOTES s ft NEW YORK, N. Y., June 15. Joseph P. Murphy left for Brookline, where the Eastern Horse Club opens its popular meeting today. A. C. Schwartz Kentucky II., winner of the Queens County Handicap, came out of a recent work decidedly sore anel he will be away from the races for some time. Black Maria, which is named for the Brooklyn Handicap, was worked a half mile through the mud at Belmont Park yesterday morning, and it appeared that she has all her Lpecd for this big race. Jockey S. Hebert has been signed by J. E. Widener to do the light weight riding for that establishment. James Rowe decided that he would start Zoom in the Tremont instead of the Hudson Stakes. Thomas McCreery received worel from France that the Lemberg stallion Lex, which he has standing in that country, has received twenty of the thirty open subscriptions for next year. Lex was making his first year in the stud and was limited to twenty services. Bud Fisher has made announcement that daring the August meeting at Saratoga | Springs he will sell his racing stable, as well as a considerable consignment of yearlings. He will sell six horses in training, and nine yearings. Eight are by Sporting Blood. Account, which carried the silks of E. S. Luther in the first race Friday, was claimed by A. S. Woodliffe for ,000.
